Since everyone is talking about John MacArthur…
I’m normally not a fan of pastors putting their names on products but I have to say, one of the most helpful commentaries I currently use in my Bible study app is the MacArthur Study Bible. It is concise, easy to read, and has high nutritional value. I don’t know if MacArthur himself had much to do with the writing of it or if he just oversaw a faithful team but it is top drawer work.
Of course commentaries are written by fallible people so I’m not saying I 100% endorse every single thing it teaches but overall it is an excellent Bible study tool. I would recommend it to any Christian at any stage in their growth.
